Terry Barrett

Project Superintendent

Terry joined the GAC team in March 2017. He has over 27 years of construction experience and is a licensed Florida certified building contractor. He is currently superintendent on the Tommy Oliver Stadium project. When not at work he enjoys fishing and spending time with his family and friends. 



Cody Harden

Project Engineer

Cody Harden is one of the newest members to join the GAC team. He brings experience in all facets of civil engineering including: structural, hydrology, geotechnical, transportation, and environmental. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University, he has specialized in structural engineering designing commercial and residential structures composed of steel, concrete, timber, and light gauge construction throughout the Southeast. Cody continues to develop his knowledge as he pursues a Masters of Structural Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He currently holds certification as an Engineering Intern through the Florida Board of Engineers and plans to obtain licensure as a Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer in 2018. 



Brett Hitchcock

Project Manager

Brett Hitchcock started with GAC Contractors in 2005 and has a degree in Building Construction at the University of Florida.  He is a LEED Accredited Professional, a Certified General Contractor in Florida, and also has a Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification.  Brett is a Florida native and has two young boys whom he enjoys biking, camping, and surfing with.  Brett has managed over $200m of various construction projects in his career including schools, museums, condominiums, government facilities, restaurants, and  office buildings.  



Scott Joiner

Senior Project Superintendent

Scott joined the GAC Team in 1996 and has constructed projects all over the Florida panhandle. Scott oversees the daily Building Division projects at GAC. Projects that Scott has supervised range in price from 1 million to 35 million. Scott is extremely proud of the recently completed Washington County Courthouse in his home town of Chipley, FL. Scott is currently spearheading the new Tommy Oliver Stadium for Bay District Schools. Scott is married to wife Kim of 25 years and has two adult children. Scott is a avid bass fisherman and enjoys it every chance he gets. 



Matthew Morgan

Project Manager

Matthew joined the GAC family in 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and a Minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University. Matthew has a wide variety of experiences within the construction industry, which include Residential, small and large scale Commercial, Restaurant Remodels, and Service Maintenance. Matthew has worked up and down the East coast, as well as, Alabama, Louisiana, and California, on projects ranging from $5K to $36M. Matthew is a Florida Certified General Contractor and is currently working toward his sustainability certifications.


Matthew’s local project portfolio includes: PCB Police Department & Public Services Building, North Bay Haven Elementary School, Topix Salon, Gulf Coast Reginal Medical Center Doctor’s Lounge Remodel, and North Bay Haven Administration building.


Matthew’s hobbies include Martial Arts and softball.



Jake Robbins

Project Superintendent

Jake Robbins joined the GAC Family in 2016. Jake brings a diverse construction skill set to the team including extensive experience in Industrial, Site/Civil, and Commercial construction. Jake began his construction career as a welder and heavy steel erector, but has worked his way up through the ranks  to serve as General Superintendent at the Port of Panama City, and now Assistant PM.
Jake’s local project portfolio includes:  Holiday Inn Express, North Bay Haven Elementary School, and Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center Doctor’s Lounge Remodel.
Jake’s hobbies include fishing, hunting, and family activities.



George Roberts

Project Superintendent

George joined the GAC Team in 2016, He has worked as a Project Superintendent for the last 26 years specializing in Multi-Family Projects. After working many years on the road he is happy to be back residing and working in his home town. 



Joseph Scott


Joe joined the GAC Team in 2017. He received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Florida State University in 2014. He has more than 10 years of experience owning and operating his landscaping business in Bay County. Joe looks forward to expanding his skills with GAC.



James "JD" White

Project Manager

In 2011, JD joined the GAC Family. JD holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the University of West Florida. While having a wide range of construction experience, JD excels in commercial construction, small and large. He was a vital member of the management team on the $35mm Advanced Technology Center for Gulf Coast State College, but recently, he was the Project Manager on the $36mm Holiday Inn Express in Panama City Beach, FL. JD’s local project portfolio includes: GCSC Advanced Technology Center, North Bay Haven Middle/High School, PCB Police Department & Public Services Building, Holiday Inn Express, and North Bay Haven Elementary School. JD’s hobbies include fishing, golf ball hitting, and FSU football. Most of all he enjoys his time with his family. 



Gary Wood

Project Superintendent

Gary hails from North Alabama but is now a resident of Bay County Florida. He has spent 34 years in the construction industry. Since moving here in 2004, Gary has overseen the construction of numerous hotels in Bay and surrounding counties, and in Alabama. Also included are Assisted Living Facilities in Putnam County, Florida and Alexander City, Alabama along with doctor, dentistry, retail and restaurant facilities. He is certified from the FDOT for the Approved Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Advanced Course. He has also successfully completed the 30 hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration Training Course for “Construction Safety and Health”. Since joining the GAC Team in June of 2015, he was involved in the startup and completion of the Renovation of the FDOT I-10 Rest Areas in Leon and Jefferson County’s. Most recently he was privileged to be involved in the completion of GAC’s Holiday Inn Express and Suites Project on Panama City Beach. In his free time, Gary enjoys fellowship with family and friends, watching college football, grilling and most anything outdoors. 



Richard "Ricky" Wootton

Project Superintendent

Ricky is instrumental in the build out and all metal fabrication installation. He has responsibility for the cost, schedule, safety, and quality performance of projects. Works with and maintains good relations with the Owner, its representatives, architects, consulting engineers, and subcontractors. Develops monitors and maintains a comprehensive construction schedule with Project Superintendent. Negotiates changes to contract cost and schedule along with preparing Schedule of Values and Payment Request to the Owner. Provide leadership to other departments to avoid and/or resolve project problems, represents GAC at Owner/Contractor meetings, and approves material and subcontractor invoices.
