Office Locations and Geographic area of constructionFor 50 years, GAC Contractors has turned a commitment to customer satisfaction into countless successful projects. The GAC Building Division and the Sitework Division, which includes Gulf Asphalt and Great Northwest Utility Specialist, work in unison to provide inclusive construction services from conception through completion.

Founded in 1958 by Charles Hilton and his father Loyd Hilton, GAC Contractors has utilized a team approach to excel – completing more than $1,000,000,000 in projects in 50 years. From the onset of each project, we work closely with the owner, engineer, and architect to provide quality work that is completed in a timely and cost efficient manner. And this level of quality is translated to projects of every size, from a $29,000,000 design/build project for the Florida Department of Transportation to residential subdivisions.

To better serve our clients, GAC recently opened an office in Enterprise, Alabama. This office, along with the newly established offices in Blountstown, Florida and Freeport, Florida, has given our organization an expanded geographic presence. This expanded regional presence will enable the GAC Team to be more efficient and provide better service. With the addition of these three (3) offices, GAC now operates five (5) offices. These five (5) offices are located in:

At GAC Contractors, our success is rooted in the devotion of our employees, and we in turn maintain a high level of commitment to our team. Although we realize it is impossible to change the world, we strive to make a positive impact for our team members by offering incentives such as our scholarship program, which covers college tuition for children of GAC personnel who finish high school with at least a B average.

GAC TrainingFocusing on training has enabled GAC to grow successfully from 44 Team members in 1991 to 317 team members presently.

Combined with other initiatives, our scholarship program contributed to our award of the Governor's Business Leadership Award in 1995, an honor that is bestowed on nine businesses in the State of Florida each year in recognition of their innovative operations and civic contributions. Since the award's inception in 1984, GAC Contractors is the only construction company to be honored with this award by the Governor.
